The Beaugregory damselfish, also known scientifically as Stegastes leucostictus, is a species of damselfish native to the tropical waters of the western Atlantic Ocean. These colorful fish are commonly found in coral reefs, where they inhabit areas with ample hiding spots among corals and rocky crevices.

Beaugregory damselfish are characterized by their vibrant yellow bodies adorned with black spots, along with blue markings on their fins. They typically grow to a length of about 3 to 4 inches (7.6 to 10.2 centimeters). As with many damselfish species, Beaugregory damsels are territorial and may exhibit aggressive behavior towards other fish, especially within their claimed territory on the reef.

Their diet mainly consists of algae, zooplankton, and small invertebrates. In aquariums, they can be fed a varied diet that includes algae-based foods, small crustaceans, and vitamin-enriched flakes or pellets.

Overall, Beaugregory damselfish are popular additions to marine aquariums due to their striking appearance and active behavior, but their territorial nature should be considered when planning tank mates.
