Bright, bold, and full of personality — the Cross’s Damsel is a striking addition to any reef aquarium. Juveniles glow with fiery orange tones and a vivid electric-blue stripe running from the snout to the tail, creating a stunning contrast under reef lighting. As they mature, their color shifts to a deeper brown or gray, but their lively presence remains just as captivating.
Hardy and reef-safe, this species thrives in well-established aquariums with plenty of rockwork and hiding spots. They’re known for their confident, territorial behavior, so give them some room to claim their space — or pair them with other equally bold tankmates.
