Distribution: Found in the Western Pacific, including areas like Indonesia and the Philippines.
Coloration: Males typically display vibrant colors such as shades of orange, pink, and purple. Females and juveniles tend to have more subdued colors.
Habitat: Inhabits coral reefs and is often associated with reef formations.
Behavior: Anthias, in general, are known for forming social groups led by a dominant male. They are active swimmers and often hover around coral formations.
Diet: Anthias are generally planktivores, feeding on small zooplankton and other tiny organisms in the water column.
