The Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus solorensis) is a species of marine fish that belongs to the family Labridae. It is also commonly known as the Red-Headed Fairy Wrasse or the Red-Headed Solon Fairy Wrasse. This species is known for its vibrant colors and beautiful appearance, making it a popular choice among aquarium enthusiasts.

Here are some key features and characteristics of the Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse:

Appearance: The Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse has a slender elongated body with a pointed snout. The males have a bright red head, while the rest of the body is blue or purplish-blue in color. The females, on the other hand, have a more subdued coloration, with a mix of pink, orange, and yellow hues.

Size: The Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse can grow up to about 3 inches (7-8 centimeters) in length. Males are generally slightly larger than females.

Behavior: These wrasses are generally peaceful and can be kept with other non-aggressive fish species. However, they may become territorial towards other wrasses or fish with a similar body shape or coloration. They are known to be jumpers, so it's important to have a tightly covered aquarium.

Diet: In the wild, Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasses feed on a diet consisting mainly of small crustaceans, zooplankton, and other small invertebrates. In an aquarium setting, they can be fed a varied diet of high-quality frozen and live foods, such as brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and finely chopped seafood.

Aquarium Requirements: To keep a Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse, it's recommended to have an aquarium of at least 30 gallons (113 liters) or larger, as they need ample swimming space. They prefer a well-established reef aquarium with plenty of live rock for hiding and exploring. They thrive in aquariums with stable water parameters and moderate to high water flow.

Range: The Red Head Solon Fairy Wrasse is found in the western Pacific Ocean, particularly in Indonesia and the Philippines, where it inhabits coral reefs at depths ranging from 15 to 98 feet (5-30 meters).
