  The Yellow Watchman Goby (Cryptocentrus cinctus) is one of the most popular and personality-filled gobies in the reef aquarium hobby. Known for its bright yellow body, expressive eyes, and comical behavior, this hardy fish forms fascinating symbiotic relationships with pistol shrimp—sharing burrows and acting as lookout companions.

  Native to the Indo-Pacific, this species thrives in sandy-bottom reef tanks where it can dig and perch comfortably. It’s peaceful, reef-safe, and adapts well to captivity, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced reef keepers.
